Police have identified the man found in the Wabash River on Sunday.

The Vigo County Sheriff's Department says the victim is 50-year-old Michael Pollack.

Police say Pollack had lived in Terre Haute for two years. His last known address was a shelter for men called Timothy's House. However, police say he wasn't living there anymore.

Pollack has no family members living in the Wabash Valley, which slowed efforts to confirm his identity and notify his next of kin.

Police are investigation his death as a homicide and are seeking more information about who Pollack may have seen during the first month of June. If you have any information, call the Vigo County Sheriff's Department at 812-462-3317 ext. 7310.
