Officials want the public to be vigilant after several suspicious fires.

On Wednesday night, a warehouse on Terre Haute's south side caught fire. The building at 13th and Lockport was vacant and had no utilities hooked up. That leads investigators to believe the fire may be suspicious.

Meanwhile, there was a suspicious garage fire Wednesday night at Second Avenue and 22nd Street.

Investigators don't believe it's connected to the warehouse fire. However, they do think there's a string of arsons on the city's north side.

Therefore, officials want people to keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

"There's only so many investigators out there and so the eyes and ears in this city are the people who live in those neighborhoods. So, let's take care of ourselves and our neighbors, and let's watch out for one another and maybe we'll catch this person," says arson investigator Norm Loudermilk.

If you have any information about either fires or any other, call Crimestoppers at 812-238-STOP.
