Mushroom Week Continues with Nutrition Talk

It's fun for mushroom hunters to get out in the woods in search of the elusive morel. It can also be just as fun to discover what you can do with mushrooms in the kitchen.

Today we found out that not only are mushrooms good for you, but they're pretty versatile as far as how you can eat them.

Mushrooms have no fat and no cholesterol and they're very low in sodium. They're low in calories and they're actually the only vegetable that contains vitamin D. They're good for you whether they're raw or cooked.

Today we spoke to dieticians from regional hospital who say mushrooms are an easy vegetable to add to meals without your kids ever knowing. You can mix them in with ground beef or other meals.
