Vaccinations aren't the only things students need to head back to school.
A new backpack is always a good thing to start the school year off with as well.
Saturday the Cellular Connection of Terre Haute handed out more than 500 free backpacks to kids here in the Wabash Valley.
The backpacks, stuffed with supplies, were handed out at two locations.
This was the second year for the event.
Last year the backpacks went quick, it was the same story this year.
But there was a new feature to the give-a-way that had a lot of highschoolers excited.
"They're really excited about the backpacks and that they have chance to when a $1,500 scholarship. One person at every 300 stores is going to get a scholarship," Tabetha Flanders, with the Cellular Connection said.
The Cellular Connection is giving away 100,000 backpacks at 300 different locations across the country.
