A Valley catering business has opened its doors to the public, and is bringing a whole new type of cuisine to the the area.

Fifi's Lunchbox its letting you  bring home the bacon, literally.

"We decided to do something different, and why not do a 'baconery.' There isn't one in Terre Haute and why not make our bacon our star," said co-owner Claudine Hann.

The business started out as food truck and catering service
Now, owners Jaqueline and Claudine are taking on the restaurant world -- and letting everyone take a bite of their bacon creations.

"Every single time that we would go do you do a show or festival people were always asking us where can I get, get your food, where can I come get your food, we heard that so much that it was really just kind of obvious the next step for us, it was something that we had to do," said co-owner Jacqueline Ruff.

From curing their own bacon, to make their own pretzel buns, Fifi's is bringing the Valley quality food with a twist.

"We make everything ourselves and if we can't make it, we use local it's really important for us to use fresh ingredients, less preservatives and to provide the best quality that we can," said Hann.

And believe me, these treats are tasty.

For those caffeine addicts out there --  Fifi's is serving up gourmet lattes.

"We wanted to offer coffee on the north end there is definitely a market and a demand, because there's no good coffee. So in addition we are offering coffee, but we're also offering a bacon latte," said Ruff.

But it's not just about getting customers in the doors, these two hope their restaurant can put the Wabash Valley on the map.
"Maybe cause a buzz, so instead of people having to go to Chicago or St. Louis or Indianapolis even, this is a Terre Haute get on the map and start having some unique things that people want to come check Terre Haute out," said Hann.

Fifi's Lunchbox is located at 2401 Lafayette Avenue in Terre Haute. The number there is (812) 460-1670.
It's open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.

And after last weekend's quick sell-out at the first-ever Bacon Fest, officials say they just can't even wait until next year for another one.
So, Bacon Fest 2 will take place on September 20, it will be nearly four times as big as the first one.
