Vermillion County once again tops the state with the highest unemployment rate at 11 percent.

But experts say don't be discouraged, because there is work out there.
Labor Link hosted an open house on Wednesday.
Officials with the group say they've had a big jump in the number of companies coming to them looking for workers.
While we hear a lot about a "skilled workforce," Labor Link says it's all about fit.
And don't just rely on the typical job search - think outside the box. Even Facebook can be a potential job source.
"Get online. And look. Look around your area. Don't just rely on the newspaper anymore. You've got to get out and be actively seeking. Because there are jobs available," said Heather Rollins, a sales and recruitment officer for Labor Link. "Sometimes we can place you within that week even. That's how quickly we have jobs coming in. "
Labor Link has another open house set for for April 1.
It's from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the Vigo County Library.
You just need a resume and two forms of ID.
And experts say it's all about getting some face to face time.
Next Thursday, March 27, Ivy Tech is hosting its annual job fair. It's from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m at Ivy Tech Community College at 8000 South Education Drive.
Students, alumni and the general public are invited.
