Illinois Governor Pat Quinn Gives State Of the State Address

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn delivers his state of the state address.

In his speech, Governor Quinn focused on jobs and the economy.

He says he wants to create more jobs by giving small businesses loans and other incentives to grow.

He wants to double the earned income tax credit for workers and also raise the minimum wage to at least $10 an hour.

Governor Quinn also talked about education.

He wants to expand pre-kindergarten programs and make higher learning more affordable.

He also wants to start programs that help low-income mothers get pre-natal care.
