National Guard troops have arrived in Ferguson, Missouri. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called on the extra enforcement early Monday.

Monday evening marks the eighth night of unrest in the St. Louis suburb following the fatal shooting of Michael Brown by police.

The extra enforcement was called on to protect the officers already serving in the area. The troops will be reporting to the Highway Patrol. This comes after another violent upheaval Sunday night.

The midnight to 5:00AM curfew that started over the weekend has also been lifted after vandalism and looting both nights.

In a press conference Monday afternoon, President Obama called for peace in the area.
