A local minstry is continuing to serve the community even after its founder has passed on.

Rose Aycock, of Covenant Cooperative Ministry, passed away in December, and the group she created is continuing the mission in her honor.

The board of directors has announced that pastor Tracy Hamilton will serve as the interim director for CCM.
The organization will still provide a food pantry for those in need, and are working to create a chapel inside the building to minister to the community.
Hamilton said he's honored to take on the role, and hopes people will continue to look to the ministry for any help they need.

"The food pantry is just something that is really needed in this is the portion that God has put us on in Vigo County. So we are going to step up and do our part as a ministry and take care of the… as I tell everybody take care of your block so to speak," said Hamilton.

The Covenant Cooperative Ministry's food pantry will now be open on the fourth Saturday of every month.
Anyone who need's help is asked to call to schedule a pick-up time before coming.
