April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and the Sullivan County Department of Child Services held their Pinwheels For Prevention ceremony on Tuesday night.

All 92 counties in Indiana participated in the event.

The hope is to bring more abuse prevention awareness to communities across the state.

The pinwheels will line the sidewalk of the DCS building all month, something officials hope will remind people to be on the look out for neglect and abuse cases.

If you ever suspect child abuse or neglect, contact police immediately.
