The 4-H kids have raised both their cattle and swine to be a healthy and higher weight. The more muscle mass the cattle has, the more money the kids can make when they go to sell them. Because of harsh weather conditions in various states across the nation such as Texas and both North and South Dakota, this benefits the profit of those who have livestock.
As for the hogs, the goal for the children is to have the highest weight achievable, thus increasing their profit as well.
4-H in Clark County will certainly reap the benefits of beef and pork prices being up for this year.
