The Vigo County School Board is looking to make some big changes.

One big ticket item at tonight's meeting was a proposed 3% raise for teachers and administrators, that would allow one of the Wabash Valley's largest employers to give more to the economy.

Another issue on tonight's agenda was the bullying policy. The state regulated policy faced it's final reading tonight. Danny Tanoos, VCSC Superintendent says, "We've had a policy in place, but it doesn't have the teeth that the state policy has. We have several programs in place to deal with bullying including bullying boxes and reporting mechanisms in place to ensure that we're able to let the authorities in the schools know who is bullying and call them in and put a stop to those issues."

The board also talked about a grant from the education foundation that will provide funds for literacy programs.
