Terre Haute, IN - Some local kids prove you don't have to wait to become a great chef.
Elementary students from Southwest School Corporation took part in the Sodexo Future Chefs Challenge on Thursday.
The challenge was to create healthy, Asian-inspired recipes.
Adults then help them bring their recipes to fruition and the dishes are presented to a panel of judges.
"This is a very exciting thing," says Lynne Arnett, GM of Sodexo for Southwest School Corporation. "To watch the kids, they really enjoy it and it's just so much fun for them."
Southwest School Corporation is among 256 other school districts across the country holding Future Chef events.
