Some Indiana teachers and students are breathing a sigh of relief. They now have a little more time to complete ISTEP testing.
The Indiana State Board of Education has agreed to extend the testing window again. Students now have until May 9 to complete IMAST testing and May 13 to finish the multiple choice ISTEP.
The board says many school districts requested the extension.
The applied skills portion of the test was pushed back last month.
The goal is to give schools more time to prepare for testing after losing instructional time to snow days.
