A foot chase by police kept students in one Wabash Valley school for a few extra minutes this afternoon.

Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary School in Vincennes went on lockdown after a wanted man fled from authorities.

Superintendent Greg Parsley says the U.S. Marshal's Service and Indiana State police was serving a warrant at a residence near the school when the suspect ran away.

The unidentified man was eventually caught after trying to enter the school. He was taken to the Knox County Jail.

Students were dismissed a few minutes after their scheduled time.
