West Terre Haute, IN - Local utility companies are giving back to the community.
Duke Energy and Vectren joined forces on Tuesday to help non-profits in West Terre Haute.
They worked at the West Terre haute Community Center, Helping Hands and the Little League ball field.
That's where we caught up with volunteers who were painting dugouts, replacing lights and more.
This is the first year the two companies have partnered for this volunteer day.
"The utilities are giving back to their community. We work side by side with each other every single day out in the field and to come together, to do something like this for our community, it's really fun," says Jennifer Isbell-Scott, the Industrial Sales Manager at Vectren.
Volunteers say they worked on at least a dozen projects at the three locations.
