Millions of Americans live in areas threatened by severe weather. If you want to track potential weather hazards, there are some excellent apps out there.
Check out "Dark Sky." This app offers up-to-the-minute precipitation forecasts, including animated global weather information.
"Ultraweather" is great for those who prefer pictures of weather data. The app uses Instagram photos to illustrate weather forecasts.
"Voodoo Skies" may catch the eye of those wanting to track severe weather trends. The app lets you compare current forecasts with historical data.
"Wundermap" is a tool from the forecast crew at Weather Underground. This one is map-based.
For what's happening in your area check out "Weatherpro." It pulls data from two million sources worldwide, offering very detailed local weather reports.

And for really local weather, snag the apps we have for Apple and Android devices.
