The folks at Pelican make good stuff to protect your tech. They're out with the rugged Pelican Progear Vault line.
This sturdy case for the iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina display is built to military specs.
This will protect your Mini from dust, water, drop, shock and acoustics.  It adjusts for a multiple-angle view stand and has an optical grade, shatterproof lens cover.
You'll find the same featues in the iPad Air model.
When it comes to your online safety, I guess you can count on Microsoft. The software giant admits to hacking emails. The hacking was restricted after an ex-employee leaked proprietary software to an anonymous blogger. Your emails were not hacked.
Google is stepping up to protect your Gmail. It's beefed up security to make mass surveillance of your email nearly impossible. Google has secured how it connects to it's servers. And is strictly using a secure communications protocol called H-T-T-P-S. It encrypts your email on its entire journey.
The move is in response to disclosures about government surveillance. The changes are not quite N-S-A proof, but close.
Don't you just hate it when you keep running into people you'd rather not see at all?
There's an app for avoiding that, them. Cloak is free for iPhone. It pulls info from Foursquare and Instagram, using that info to prevent awkward encounters.
You can set up notifications for people you'd like to avoid: exes, frenemies, maybe co-workers.
There's even an option to avoid everyone in your social network.
