Most of their goods are handmade, using alpaca wool from the animals they care for. They're selling everything from scarfs to blankets, even an alpaca fiber nativity. When you make a purchase it also includes a picture of the animal whose wool was used, and the name of the artist who created it.

The grants are from the economic development income tax funds, and Bennett says re-investing that money in the arts can change the community.

12/3/2013 4:13:14 PMIt'll be called the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center, named after the Sister of Providence who passed away this year. Officials say this project is years in the making, but they're grateful for all of the people who overcome those challenges. The new center will also host the Pomeroy Wellness Program for on-site health screening and education for the community. It's set to be open by this time next year.

Officials cut the ribbon on the Knox County facility on Monday, then showed off the state-of-the-art inside.
